KastKing Zephyr Bait Finesse Baitcasting Reel
Okay, “Finesse Fishing” has become my latest fishing passion. This reel is the mainstay reel in all my BFS-FINESSE rod & reel combinations. I married this up with a 7-foot Okuma Cililo medium action rod. I run 10 lb Fluorocarbon Spiderwire line on it. I have to admit, I am very happy with this BFS rig and I don’t head to any lake without it.
It weighs in at a lightweight 5.6oz and has a 7.2:1 gear ratio. It casts very smooth. You can’t go wrong with this reel for a BFS system. This is a great reel for your BFS system
KastKing Royale Legend Glory 2000 Spinning Reel
The Royale Legend Glory spinning reel is the latest addition to my Finesse collection. Man…, if there is anything I love to do, it is fish with light and ultralight fishing gear. My big thrill every year has always been trout fishing with ultralight fishing gear. And now, with the new addition of Finesse gear, this gives me the same level of fishing excitement but for bass fishing.
I’ll have to check but I do believe this is my 2nd KastKing reel and I’m very impressed with both of them. Mine is the 2000 size reel and has a nice smooth 6.2:1 gear ratio. I’m running 10 lb Fluorocarbon Spiderwire line on it just like my BFS rig and paired it up with a 6″6″ Light Action Ugly Stik GX2 Spinning Rod. Another match made in heaven if you ask me. If you’re looking for a new Finesse Rig, try the KastKingRoyale Legend Glory 2000. This is a QUALITY reel and for sure within any budget

CLP 3-in-1 Gun Cleaning Oil Kit
I can’t speak highly enough about CLP Oil. This stuff rocks and does a fantastic job of not only cleaning my shooting irons but also helping to keep them lubed and oiled.
I bought the CLP kit. I figure you can never have enough cleaning brushes and swabs. I’ll add this to the mix. Instead of filling the applicator bottle that comes with the kit with CLP, I used a 30 wt high temp synthetic engine oil. A quart of that for cleaning my gun will last for years
I’m new to using CLP, but for the price, I get to eliminate having to buy both gun oil and a cleaning solvent like Hoppes #9. CLP is some good stuff and I give it my stamp of approval.
Plano Sportsman 108-Quart Black Trunk
I have several of these storage trunks. They’re tough and can take a beating, PLUS…, they help protect the contents inside of them. I have two 108 quart size trunks that I store all my camera and video technology in. One contains mostly action cameras and their supporting gear like cam mounts, the other storage trunk keeps all that support gears such as lighting, tripods, cables, power strips, and cords.
My other Plano Sportsman trunks hold camping and prospecting gear. Like I said, these are tough and durable. And they don’t buckle under a load.
Dr Price’s Electrolytes Powder Packets
Alright, here is a hydration safety tip. If you are active in the desert outdoors, you should be carrying a few of these electrolyte powder packets in your first aid kit along with PLENTY of drinking water. These are for you and anyone else in your party.
Simple to use, just tear off the top of the packet, pour in some water, gently swish it around, then drink it. This will help replace the electrolytes you’ve sweated out of your body and will help prevent you from suffering from the effects of dehydration and heat exhaustion.
I keep several of these in my first aid kit, the glove box of my truck, and in a ziplock in my cool chest. You can never have enough of these. But be careful drinking too many of these. This is not Koolaid. Limit yourself to no more than 2, maybe 3 in the course of a day. Stay hydrated people!
LifeStraw Personal Water Filter
Imagine being in the middle of a hiking adventure, and suddenly finding yourself far from a safe water source and out of drinking water. Hopefully, you packed along your LifeStraw Personal Water Filter. With just a few sips from a nearby stream, you can enjoy clean, safe water, thanks to the LifeStraw’s advanced filtration system that removes 99.9999% of bacteria and parasites.
Lightweight and easy to carry, LifeStraw is the essential survival tool that transforms natural water into life-saving hydration wherever your journey takes you. I keep one in my first aid bag, one in my truck, and I carry one in my rucksack when I’m outdoors. You never know when an emergency will strike.

Nikon D3400 24.2MP DSLR Camera with AF-P 18-55 VR and 70-300m Lenses
The Nikon D3400 camera is my favorite and a workhorse here. Odds are if I am taking pics, it is with my Nikon. With its 24.2MP DX-Format CMOS sensor, even low-light gives your shots stunning clarity. The D3400 uses a EN-EL14a battery which should give you approximately 1,200 shots per charge.
The D3400 can record full HD 1080p video at 60 fps. It has an 11-point autofocus system and has a 3.0-inch 921,000-dot fixed screen. The Bluetooth technology it has, easily transfers photos to your phone, so you can share your story instantly. Lightweight, easy to use, I just love shooting pics with it.
If I have any complaints about it it’s that it doesn’t have an external mic jack, or a flip-out screen.
AKASO Brave 4 Pro 4K30FPS Action Camera
What can I say. I love cameras and ranked up there right next to my Nikon is my AKASO Brave 4 Pro. These action cams are freaking way cool. So why buy Akaso? One word and that word is “AFFORDABLE”. But the cost saving isn’t the only reason.
This action camera shoots 4K 30FPS video and can take 20 MP photos. Plus it comes with a remote that you can use to take images and start/stop video. And it has a 2-inch back touch screen.
It’s waterproof up to 131-foot depth. As a bonus the camera has built-in Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). So when your Akaso action camera tilts, moves, shakes, or experiences impact, this action camera can still produce stable video for you. Lastly, it supports an external microphone. But heads up, it HAS TO BE an AKASO external mic. Third-party external mics won’t work. I have 3 Akaso’s that I use. They are a great investment
JOILCAN 74″ Heavy Duty Camera Tripod
I do a lot of photography and video. One of the essential tools in my tech gear inventory are my tripods. I have 3 of the JOILCAN 74″ Heavy Duty Camera Tripods and they are worth every penny. They are lightweight & easy to adjust. You can adjust the size from 19″ to 74″ for a variety of shooting conditions.
It comes with quick-release plates and a phone holder maximize. It also uses the standard 1/4″ screw compatible with all cameras, DSLR, SLRs, webcams, projectors, ring lights, spotting scopes, lasers, binoculars, etc. And what not to like with the 3-Way Pan Head with 360° Rotation right?
I’ve tried to get by with the lightweight tripods but they cannot hold up to the combined weight of a camera, flash or light, and a shotgun mic. They start to bend and wobble as you’re filming. But my JOILCAN’s doesn’t have that problem. If you want a great tripod, I recommend this one.
48GB Digital Voice Recorder
Looking for a digital voice recorder? Look no further than the Mandora Digital Voice Recorder. I have a pair of these and I love them. It’s easy to use and comes with a lanyard, storage bag, and a USB data cable.
For starters, this thing can be voice-activated. It supports recording in MP3 and WAV formats. It has a maximum of 48Gb memory. This includes 16Gb on board plus an additional 32Gb when you add a sim card. This allows up to 3000+ hours of audio file recording depending on the bit rate and format chosen. With a full charge, you can keep on recording up to 27 hours continuously and a playback time up to 18 hours.
Data transferring is easy with the USB cable. And it has a headphone jack so you can wear headphones to listen to your data. This is a great recorder if you’re looking for one. I highly recommend this one.
